5 Months

Last week Hale had is 5 month appointment. He is 16 lbs 11 oz. He is in the 50th % for weight and 95th % for height and head circumference. I am not sure that height is really accurate - but we will see. He is rolling over both ways and is starting to reach for everything we have. He really wants our drinks and food. He loves to "talk" to us and is starting to laugh a lot more. He's got two teeth on the bottom and now that they are through, he - completely different from my girls - sleeps! This week he actually slept from 10 pm to 6 am. I woke up 3 times to check on him - so now I just need to figure out how to sleep through the night. Most nights he is sleeping from 10 pm to 3 am and then again until 7:00. Kyree still doesn't sleep through the night so this is a nice change. I sensed when he was still in my tummy that he would be a calm baby and that he would sleep well and I was right. I think it may have been more wishful thinking than actually knowing he would be that way but it's been nice! He will cry for about 5 minutes when I lay him down but then he is out. Kyree went with us to the appointment and had her 5 year physical. She is doing well. She is, as she's been since she was a year old, in the 25th % for height and 50th % for weight. She had a good time being the big sister and helping Hale with his shots. I think it upset her a little more than she expected when he got his shots. She got some blood drawn and was very brave. We also registered her for Kindergarten that day. It won't be too much of an adjustment since she's already in all day Pre-K but she is excited to move up to "big girl" school.
